What is JCL?

The Junior Classical League is a club that seeks to encourage an interest in and an appreciation for the language, literature and culture of ancient Greece and Rome. JCL is a strong community of dedicated individuals who share a love of the classics, whether it be mythology, music, art, athletics, competitions, or the Latin and Greek languages themselves. The JCL community is not just about a love of the classics, however; it fosters life-long friendships, memories, and relationships between its members. Any junior high or high school that teaches Latin or Greek is eligible to start a chapter!
